Wizards of Wormbly

Few dare speak of Wormbly these days — a crooked, moss-covered tower that leans in defiance of time and sanity. centuries ago, it was home to the Order of Wormbly, a guild of eccentric wizards who mastered wild and unpredictable magic. Unlike other orders devoted to precise spellcraft, the Wormbly wizards believed that chaos itself was the truest source of power.

Their greatest creation was the Chronomantic Orb, a device capable of bending time and memory. But during one experiment, the Orb shattered, splintering time within the tower. Rooms rearranged themselves, doors led to impossible places, and the wizards vanished… or so the stories go.

Now, strange energies stir once more in the hills of Eldenvale. You and your companions — apprentices of a neighboring academy — have been sent to investigate. As soon as you enter the tower, the doors slam behind you, and the air ripples like water. Clocks tick backward. Candles burn with blue flame. A disembodied voice chuckles:

"Ah… new minds to tinker with time."

Every room tells part of the wizards’ story: a Potion Laboratory where elixirs brew themselves, a Library of Paradox where pages rewrite as you read, and a Temporal Observatory where constellations spin in nonsensical patterns.

Only by embracing the chaos — as the Wizards of Wormbly once did — can you hope to uncover their fate and find your way home.
